Spoiler alert, I lost.
However, if you read one of my recent posts you’ll know why I still consider this a massive win for Amanda White Digital.
Small but mighty.
After being notified that I’d been shortlisted as a finalist for Start-Up Business of the Year in the Western Morning News Awards, it was time to ditch the gym kit and find a frock for the black-tie event.
The competition in my category was impossibly stiff with two other incredible businesses
Rewind Radio and Pengelly Weddings in the running. Come to think of it, I was probably the smallest business at the whole event!!!
Recognition for businesses in Devon and Cornwall.
The Western Morning News Business Awards are a spectacular occasion and give businesses from the region a chance to come together and celebrate the success of those helping to drive the economy forward in the south west.
This year, the event took place at the Sandy Park Stadium in Exeter, and it was wonderful to see so many businesses and individuals being recognised for their hard work and determination.
The Start-Up Business of the Year Award is given to an organisation that has been established since January 2019 and has shown sales growth, profit achievement and evidence of a satisfied customer base. The winner has solid business plans and is able to show potential future growth.
Being a finalist for such an amazing award is another massive achievement for Amanda White Digital. I was among so many really big names in business and I’ve come away feeling recognised for my years of experience and hard work. Many congratulations to the winner Rewind Radio, very well deserved!
I may be a small business right now, but I have big dreams and I’m looking forward to what 2023 has in store for me.
Wishing you all a very merry festive season, and a happy new year!
